FAQs

What is the difference between ACM and aluminium?

ACM is a lightweight 3mm composite panel for larger signs that need to stay rigid. Aluminium is a solid 2mm sheet, rated for 10+ years outdoors.

Is printed stainless best for outdoor use?

The steel is tough. The full-colour print on it is not. Printed SS316 is about 10+ years indoors and 1–2 years outdoors. For outdoor text that has to outlast ink, use annealed or paint-filled SS316.

Can polypropylene go outside?

Yes for temporary outdoor use. With a protective laminate it is about 5 years outdoors. It is slightly flexible, so it is not the panel for a large sign that must stay flat.

Which finish looks best indoors?

Gloss acrylic for a polished white plate. Printed SS316 or brushed ACM when the sign should look like metal.
