A foam fire extinguisher has a blue coloured band and is designed for a Class B type of fire. It also works for Class A type of fires. A foam fire extinguisher is recommended for fires related to flammable liquids such as diesel, petrol, alcohol, oils, etc. The foam produced by the extinguisher is non-toxic.
The foam fire extinguisher works by forming a blanket over the burning surface which starves the fire of oxygen (one of the three elements of the fire triangle). When used it also cools the burning material/surface.
A Foam type extinguisher should be used on:
Flammable liquids like turpentine, paint, petrol, oil, and others
Organic materials like coal, wood, flammable material, cardboard, paper
Not used on:
Electrical fires
Flammable metal fires
Kitchen fires
AS 1319 specifics that Fire Signs advise the location of fire alarms and fire-fighting facilities.
Fire signs shall comprise a red rectangular sign with white legend and enclosure. Legends shall comprise words or symbols, or both, indicating the location of fire alarms or fire-fighting facilities. Associated messages other than those indicating such facilities shall be conveyed by means of separate signs.

Aluminium composite panel/material (ACP or ACM): White painted gloss metal front and back with a print that will last 24-48 months outdoors and 5-15 years inside. It's a great choice for longer term prints.
