Water based fire extinguishers are the most common type found in many businesses and public buildings.
They are recommended for hotels, residential areas, and public places. Designed for Class A type of fires and carry the original ‘Signal Red’ colour label. A water-based fire extinguisher must not be used on an electrical fire as water is conductive and may cause further safety issues if the electrical supply is still live.
These fire extinguishers work by squirting a jet of water designed to douse the flame and prevent material from re-igniting.

AS 1319 specifics that Fire Signs advise the location of fire alarms and fire-fighting facilities.
Fire signs shall comprise a red rectangular sign with white legend and enclosure. Legends shall comprise words or symbols, or both, indicating the location of fire alarms or fire-fighting facilities. Associated messages other than those indicating such facilities shall be conveyed by means of separate signs.

Polypropylene 2mm: Extremely tough and what majority of safety signs are made out of. Will last 24-48 months in the sun (still perfectly readable just the colours start to fade) and 5-15 years inside.
Aluminium composite panel/material (ACP or ACM): White painted gloss metal front and back with a print that will last 24-48 months outdoors and 5-15 years inside. It's a great choice for longer term prints.
